The night of 14th October 2008, Paradigm Infinitum.
The tournament came to a halt but we were not satisfied with only a single game for the night. Paul had left but we still had 4 players so we decided to play a friendly game. Despite being near midnight, we prepared our decks for a (hopefully) quick battle. All of us used the same decks that we did in the tournament. Randomly deciding the table position, I was to be player 2 this time, my predator was GeeHuan's Settites, I was bleeding TVC, and my ally (gulps) was Dan.
This time my 1st turn Tupdog managed to call a KRC, but with Eternals of Sirius GeeHuan had on the table Nefuru, and I had to send my KRCs completely downwind to TVC and Dan in order for it to work. I was lucky to have a first turn Seattle Committee, and I was able to turn my subsequent Daughters all into Anarch with no resource loss. With an early Protected Resources I was pretty safe from GeeHuan's stealth bleeders.
As usual, TVC got this ridiculous number of on-board intercept master cards to thwart my attempts to do anything, and Dan had Anson and then Alexandra out in no time. I was luckier this time to have Creepshow Casino and Paris Opera House out early, and they contributed to my success in getting 2 Barons onto my Vampires and several Embraces into existence. Meanwhile, my occasional KRCs pressured TVC to focus on defense and pretty much left Dan alone to pester GeeHuan. Due to a timely Bastille Opera House, this time I was able to work with the table (Before the Bastille, Dan had 9 votes on table, I had 5, TVC had 3 and GeeHuan had 3, as you can see, very vote heavy table) to contain his vote to a certain degree while getting some of mine through.
I made a deal with TVC on not sending any damaging votes his way for 3 rounds in exchange for him to support 1 bloating action (I would have to declare it and convinced him that it was a bloating action) per turn. I got a few Consanguineous Boons through and kept my stealth cards for the more important actions such as Embrace. I wanted to be comfortable with my pool before I commenced my attack. Meanwhile, at a point Dan called an Ancilla Empowerment again and I lose 8 pool for that. Dan had the chance to kill GeeHuan with a bleed if I give him a +1 Stealth with my Paris Opera House, but I negotiated with GeeHuan on not bleeding me for 1 round and refrained from providing that +1 Stealth to Dan. On hindsight, TVC would've provided a +1 Intercept to GeeHuan's blocking minion with his KRCG anyway. Nevertheless I was given that precious 1 round to kill TVC.
I had the good luck to get my Conductor then, and proceed to call a Conservative Agitation against the table. TVC had 1 pool left, Dan had 2, and GeeHuan had about 8-10. I used every stealth that I had to push the Conservative Agitation to 4 stealth but it was still blocked by TVC's timely Eagle Sight. Good thing I had a Persistent Echo already on table with a Siren's Lure under it, so Gael went in to lure the blocking minion away and the referendum went to the podium. With the Bastille Opera House and Conductor I had 20 votes. The table had about 16 votes against me, and I got my first kill. The problem was how to get the second kill. Dan only had 1 pool left. I called a Reckless Agitation this time, 5 went to GeeHuan and 1 killed Dan. It was pulled through the a timely combo of Madrigal plus Rant!. (Rant! providing me with 8 votes and Madrigal replendishing the blood of these Anarchs, but I was too excited and got it backwwards)
With a new shiny 12 pool and the Protected Resources still in play, GeeHuan didn't stand much chance then. I called a Revolutionary Council and ended the game.
Final Standing.
Me - Sweep
Again, I was lucky to have all the resources on table. Bastille, Creepshow Casino, Conductor, Paris, Protected Resources, Seattle Committee - all the key cards were out and they were all 1 of a kind in the deck. I think I would add in a couple of Madrigal and Rant! as I think it is a cool way to gain votes.
