Had 2 games with the guys at PIMP when Paul, the Prince of Manila visited our humble city on Sunday.

The coming Vtes Asian Tournament

Well, well, here comes the Asian Championship again~

Manila, here I come, now, have to try not to be too lazy and get that air ticket soon~ this torpor thing is pretty contagious.

What deck should I bring over there to fight it out? Given that the last time I played Vtes was like a year ago, I can't very well remember how everything is like very well. Definitely not using my Ian Forestal Summoning deck.

Then what?

I don't really have many tournament quality deck ready for use. Perhaps my Howling deck?

Or maybe I'll just bring a typical Euro Prince and just go there and slug it out~

A Game of Thrones

Now that I'm going full steam into this game (and probably the Lord of the Ring LCG when it is released), I think I'll be using this blog for this game for a while, in hoping to attract Vtes players into the Game of Thrones and vice versa.

I guess I'll still blog about Vtes happenings when they do happen, but in order to make sure I still write regularly, I 'll just have to include A Game of Thrones LCG in the blog for the time being~

Seeking New Blood - A Game of Thrones LCG

Well, like YY put it, nothing new to write about Vtes, no new tricks, no new sets, no new decks, and very little new urges to bleed.

So after a couple of months pondering what I should do with my disposable income (not that I've much nowadays), I finally plunged into the A Game of Thrones LCG. Having heard quite a bit about it I cautiously bought the base set and a couple of chapter packs and expansions (what the heck, I cleaned up PI's shelves of those A Game of Thrones (AGOT) stuff, leaving just a little bit behind for Bann).

I test played it with Bann, Eugene and Darren, tried it again with YY, G1, Darren and Bann again on the first ever Boardgame meet up, and then again at PI after I tweaked the starter decks to make them less frustrating.

All in all I liked the game, and we're at the moment consolidating orders for preparation on pushing this game, replacing Vtes for the time being.

I may just use this blog to talk about it, or maybe start a new one~ I really couldn't find much to write about Vtes anymore afterall~

Left Torpor

After a scary health crisis in the family, I've finally resolved the issue and is now happily preparing myself to partake in the coming Jyhad of the Asian Championship!

Too many cards

Was violently sick for a couple of days, so spent the time sorting out the Vtes cards at home.

Yap, too many of them. Too many.

Cards in boxes, the left 3 boxes are constructed decks waiting to be tested.

Boxes from Right to Left:

Vampire Cards sorted to clans and alphabetical order.

Action Cards sorted into disciplines and alphabetical order.

Going to prepare an inventory to get rid of some of them. Most will go to the community pool, some are posted on my facebook for trade and sale already, but too many of them are pretty pointless cards - like Rubicon and Rogue, plus many House of Sorrows. I do have a ridiculous number of Deflections and Blood Dolls.

Got to cut down on Vtes spendings.

But well, like I told my wife - I don't smoke, don't drink, don't buy branded stuff, don't go out at night except for Vtes nights, has no other women to pamper except my dearest wife-sama and not investing in any other games. Of course I spend on Vtes.

It's an eternal struggle.

Torpor

I think I'll go torpor for a while to recharge my zest for Vtes, it's been a couple of hectic months and I think I'll a little burnt out for Vtes games - the night shifts implemented due to unforseen circumstances didn't help, neither did the emergence of Final Fantasy XIII, the iPhone and of course all the other thing generally classified as work~ Now that Sporecon Vtes demo is coming up, I better get ready before the Prince stakes me to some random place for not showing up...

So I think I'll go torpor for a little while, say, a month. Sounds a little too long. Maybe 2 weeks is good enough.

Oh well, I think I'll just miss the next Tuesday's Vtes night.
