Skirmishes in the Dark : 05-03-2010

5th March, of the year 2010, Paradigm Infinitum.
After sending goods down to Takashimaya and checking up the Taka fair, I walked over to PI and was lucky to grab a 3-player game despite being a Friday night. Well, maybe Friday nights aren't too good for Vtes now since a large group of Vtes Methuselahs are now participating in Dzaki's VtM Dark Ages RPG, so I'll probably not find many players to play with on Fridays. I'll see how it goes on Saturdays later.
Anyway, it's only a fast 3-player game, so here goes.
Ben Sum's !Salubri Look at your hand deck, bleeding
BK's Salubri Serene deck, bleeding
My Air Rock.
Being in a 3-players dynamics put every deck at turbo aggression right from the start, and I was lucky to have BK as my predator as his deck is the slowest amongst these 3 and went under pressure from Ben very early in the game.
I influenced Ferox first, made him Perfectionist and supported him with Fidus, whom only job was to hatch Hatchlings, which he did for 2 consecutive rounds and provided me with 2 extra warm bodies. I then merged Ferox and employed a Razor Bat on him. From then on he became my number 1 blocker against everything.
Ben blocked my recruit Stone Dog attempt, but wasn't really able to defeat my VIS combat with his Eye of Unforgiving Heaven, though I couldn't really hurt him either due to his Armor of Caine's Fury. But BK was having a hard time fighting Ben since his deck was slapped with repeated Revelations, and his Lord of Serenity was either blocked or burned. Though he eventually brought out Matthews to work with Serene, his predator attacked him relentlessly with Nkechi, Rashiel, Uriel and Langa. I did my part slowly and did send some of the !Salubri to torpor to slow him down a little.
Eventually my Armored Ferox was able to get the upper hand against Ben, but BK took me by surpriseed and Spirit Marionetted Ferox and Heidenberged away all his blood, leaving him vulnerable to !Salubri blocks. Ferox was sent into torpor by Uriel after a successful Rotschreck but I had enough minions to rescue him before he could be diablerized.
A timely Rack was slapped on Ferox and I equipped the newly influenced Obsidian with a Codex of Edenic Groundskeeper. Multiple bleeds soon allowed me to oust Ben and came face to face with BK.
With 2 vampires, even though Serena had a Secure Haven on her, and both of his vampires had Pulse on, BK couldn't get through my intercepts (By then Ferox had Guardian Angel, a Razor Bat and was merged, giving him a +3 Intercepts against bleeds, +2 against (D) actions before Voicing)
Matthews tried to bleed with Spirit Marionette, was blocked and sent into torpor by Ferox, activating the Fame that I've slapped on him, and depleted BK's pool.
Final VP Count
Me- 3 VPs plus GW
(o.o)
