27th February, of the year 2010, Paradigm Infinitum.
A Saturday and I still get to play Vtes, what a lucky week!
Anyway, here's the seating of the 1st game-
Alvin's Beat you to death a few times deck, bleeding
My Maureen & Heralds, bleeding
Patrick's Kiasyd bleed, bleeding
YeQi's Malkavian bleed.
Straight up I brought out Maureen. Knowing how dangerous Alvin's combat is I immediately called upon a Unleash Hell's Fury. After that I kinda sat back and send Servitors after Servitors against Patrick, hoping that he didn't deflect that many. Meanwhile, with Hell's Fury on table Alvin simply didn't have the means to use his high-cap Brujahs against me since he couldn't generate enough stealth and was pretty sure that everyone would diablerize his vampire given half a chance.
Meanwhile, Patrick was having a great time killing off YeQi, since she has little defense against stealth DOM bleeds. I was trying to keep Patrick from winning too easily and that did cost Patrick some time since he couldn't bring out more Kiasyds to speed up the process. (not that he was slow or anything). But eventually Patrick killed off YeQi and Alvin, but I was lucky enough to oust Patrick after that with my Servitors.
Final VP Count-
Me - 2 VPs
Patrick - 2 VPs
The randomized seating for the second game -
Jeff's Slave Gargoyles, bleeding
Ben Sum's !Gangrel Aggra, bleeding
BK's Salubri Serene Deck, bleeding
My Howling, bleeding
Alvin's Beat you to death a few times deck
In this game, everyone was awed by Alvin's incredible combat. Jeff especially of course, since he was on the receiving end of that combat. The moment Jeff brought out any vampire, starting with his first Tremere, Alvin went in with a vengeance - Torn Signpost, Immortal Grapple, Death of my Conscience, blah blah blah, Decapitate. Then Taste back and repeat.
I was very careful with my Ahrimanes, using Howler and Nettie supported by Bobby Lemon. A single attempt to test Alvin's response with Bobby's bleed for one sent Bobby to torporland immediately. After that I only bleed when I have stealth.
Meanwhile, my predator was having a hard time against Ben's repeated aggra attacks, and Serene kept being sent into torpor. BK then made the same deal with me to ask me to give him the final VP while he kept everybody alive but weak for me to kill. This time, however, he wasn't that successful in doing that even though I did agree to the deal.
A couple of Spirit Marionette later and Ben had lost one or two vampires, with me blocking his hunt under BK's command while all blood was siphoned away by the Heidenburg. But that didn't save BK, and eventually he was ousted by Ben, despite me blocking with Falcon's Eye to intercede.
Meanwhile Alvin finally got into trouble with my Animalism combat once I got my Terror Frenzy. With Howler I went in and eliminated both Rocia and Dmitra Ilyanova, and stealth bled Alvin to death. That freed up Jeff and he finally started to play in the game.
And he was really good, and quickly ousted Ben, and it was one on one for the both of us.
Somehow I couldn't remember how it ended...
